One World Hotel: 2024 Ramadan buffet promises Seribu Satu Rasa in Petaling Jaya

Sink your teeth into Whole Roasted Lamb Stuffed with Biryani, aromatically succulent, a sumptuous treat for the senses that embodies the celebratory spirit.

From Roasted Chicken Percik to Roasted Marinated Whole Beef Tenderloin and countless other temptations, One World Hotel's spread lives up to its theme of Seribu Satu Rasa, served 11 March to 9 April at Cinnamon Coffee House. From 12 March onwards, live ghazal musical performances will entertain guests every evening.

For fans of traditional gulai recipes, indulge in cherished recipes cooked for at least two hours to ensure deep flavours and dense textures. These include Gulai Kawah Kambing, Siput Sedut Masak Lemak, Ikan Patin Tempoyak and Asam Pedas Ikan Pari.

Crowd-pleasers to repeatedly return for include the Rendang Belanga Tradisional, fragrant with buttery tender chicken, beef and lamb. 

The Middle Eastern-inspired Chicken Makluba Rice is also a smash hit that pairs perfectly with curries, rendang and more. 

Other colourful local delights span ikan tenggiri goreng berempah, daging masak merah, ketam masak kari utara and pajeri nenas, paying homage to Malaysia's generations-old culinary heritage from the north to south, east to west.

Mouthwatering Malaysian salads are represented by kerabu tauge, kerabu ayam, kerabu kacang botol, ulam-ulaman and acar nyonya. 

Ketupat and lemang complete the Ramadan experience, enhanced with favourites like popiah, keropok lekor, pisang goreng, cucur and other deep-fried delights.

There's something for everyone, from savoury to sweet, from satay, roti john and apam balik to assorted kuih, agar-agar, cendol, ais kacang and ice cream potong.

Beyond Malaysian specialties, the buffet comprises a grilling station for wagyu beef, lamb and chicken, plus seafood stations with lobster, prawns, clam, mussels, and more.

The Japanese selection is ever-enticing, with sushi, sashimi, teppanyaki and a tempura station. 

Indian, Chinese and international selections ensure that everyone leaves satisfied, from gobi Manchurian to Hainanese chicken rice, steamed barramundi in supreme soy sauce, garlic prawn tails, beef casserole, pan-fried lamb shoulder, dim sum and a live pasta cooking station.
