Good News, Petaling Street

Read all about it: Hot off the press, Petaling Street's Good News combines a tavern downstairs, pizzeria upstairs, officially opening within the next several weeks.

This is a stylish space swathed in sensuous shadows - on a recent test run, the friendly team served up playful treats like Gimme The 'Za (pizza crust chips with dragon fruit salsa and house cheese dip), Shawty So Hawt (tempura stuffed pickled jalapeños) and Let's Get This Bread (panzerotti of the day), complemented by cocktails like Shady-Teh-O (lager beer and kombucha) and the Jungle Bird-inspired Burung Rimba (dark rum, Campari, fresh lime juice, blanched syrup and pineapple-infused beer).

Good News occupies what was formerly a branch office of Sin Chew Daily - look for the smiley face.

The space and selection are still a work in progress, with much more to come soon.
